Udh'hiya, Aqiqah & Sadaqah - FAQs

Some of the Frequently Asked Questions about our company and their respective answers.

*Udh'hiya*: The Eid al-Adha sacrifice. Done 10th-12th Dhul Hijjah only. Must meet strict age & health rules. *Aqiqah*: Thank-you sacrifice when a baby is born. Best done on day 7, but can be done anytime. *Sadaqah*: Voluntary charity sacrifice. Do it any day of the year to feed the poor and the needy.

Goats, sheep, cows, and camels. All are healthy, vet-checked, and meet Islamic age requirements. Goats & sheep: Raised at Al Mubarak Ranch in Tanzania on free-range and semi-intensive grazing with natural pastures, shrubs, and wild grass. We use our ranch stock first. If we sell out, we only supplement from selected farmers/markets we personally vet for health and Sharia compliance. Cows & camels: Sourced from trusted partner farms in East Africa (Kenya &Tanzania) under the same strict standards.

Priority: Al Mubarak Ranch, Tanzania. We raise our own goats and sheep on free-range and semi-intensive grazing. They enjoy natural pastures, shrubs, and wild grass with no prohibited feed or confinement. This produces natural, high-quality meat and healthier animals. If our ranch stock is finished: We only buy from selected farmers and approved local markets in East Africa (Kenya &Tanzania). Every external animal is inspected by our team for age, health, and defects before purchase.

To keep it valid for all 4 schools of thought: - Sheep: 6 Months old minimum - Goat: 1 year old minimum - Cow: 2 years old minimum - Camel: 5 years old minimum We check teeth to confirm age before slaughter. ------------------------------------------ What defects make an animal invalid for Udh'hiya & Aqiqah? We reject any animal that is: blind, sick, can’t walk properly, or extremely thin. broken legs, or any illnesses. ----------------------------------------- Can I share a cow or camel with others? Yes. 1 cow = 7 shares/People. 1 camel = 7 shares/People. Goats & sheep = 1 share only, per person or a nuclear family.

After Eid prayer using the international moon sighting or after your prayer since we have more than one day to slaughter which is up to sunset on the 3rd day of Eid. This timing works for all schools of thought.

Yes. You can do it for yourself, family Just add their names at checkout and we’ll recite their name during slaughter.

You get: - Udh'hiya & Aqiqah: Video of your animal with your name(s) recited before slaughter - Sadaqah: Photos of meat being distributed All within 72 hours of slaughter.

We have two options for You, You choose: 1. Deliver: We send it to family/friends you list in East Africa (Kenya &Tanzania) 2.Donate: We give 100% to the poor families, orphans and the needy

Yes. Slaughter is done by a Muslim adult of sound mind that understand Islamic ruling on Slaughtering as per the 4 schools of Fiqh. NB: No stunning animals. Animals are inspected for health and age. We act as your agent (wakil)to do it on your behalf.

Yes. Clients worldwide can book. We slaughter in East Africa (Kenya &Tanzania) and distribute there. You cannot import the meat; however, you fulfill the religious duty and help the poor.

We follow the international moon sighting and also your Moon sighting since we have more than one day to slaughter during Udh'hiya

If you choose delivery, yes. If you choose donation, all meat goes to the poor and the needy, which you also get rewarded by Allah.

We’ll replace it with a healthy one at no extra cost and You’ll get a video of the new animal from Al Mubarak Ranch or our partner farms or markets.

Yes. We stop taking Udh'hiya orders 3 days before Eid to guarantee we have time to prep. Sadaqah & Aqiqah can be booked year-round.
